Gran Turismo Trading

Alright, so I can’t wait to get my grubby large gamer hands on a copy of… wait, who the hell still buys physical copies of games these days? Anyway, let me rephrase that right quick.

When I get my grubby large but extremely creepy fingers to download my copy of Gran Turismo Sport, right in the comfort of my own gaming chair, and most likely the most expensive version too, because I’m a sucker like that… I have but one question.

Well, actually I have a bunch, but there doesn’t seem to be that much news circling around the interwebs as of right now pertaining to Gran Turismo Sport, but the one question I keep asking myself is… will there be car trading?

There is news, just not on the specifics, and if I remember correctly, the creator and teams that work on the game are extremely secretive, so I guess this shouldn’t come as a surprise by now, but I still want some answers.

I know they messed up big time with Gran Turismo 5, which I’ve harped on before in a previous article, which was due to the fact that people were able to duplicate cars, and give them to other people, so before you knew it… every twelve year old on the block was driving around in a 20,000,000 credit car!

Kind of killed it for me, because it gave me the sense that there wasn’t anything to really strive for anymore, if every swinging and non-swinging dick out there now had access to the most expensive car in the game without even working for it.

The entire game became the perfect model for socialism overnight, and I was not happy about it at all. As a matter of fact, I actually stopped playing the game soon after this all went down.

My guess, and hope, is that now that we live in the year 2017, they will have everyone’s individual account statistics, settings, cars, modifications, and more saved in the cloud on Sony’s own servers… this way no one can cheat!

It will be like back in the day with Diablo 2 hardcore mode, where all of the characters were saved on Blizzard’s own servers, so if a character died, it was dead for good. Unlike now with Diablo 3 on consoles, where people can re-boot their save files to bring back their dead hardcore characters… fucking pussies!

Anywho, I’m guessing that this theory is a guarantee, because this game is going to be almost entirely played competitively, so I’m sure Sony doesn’t want anyone faking statistics and rankings, trying to cheat themselves into paid competitions.

With that being said, I am very hopeful, because when the game does finally come out, I’m literally going to turn my Twitch channel into the Gran Turismo Sport headquarters! With competitions, giveaways, real prizes, and real trophies.

I mean, I’m going all out, and will probably even hold races with real money prize payouts to boot. Oh, and where the trading comes in, is so that I can hold giveaways, and give away in game cars to the winners every Sunday.

How fucking awesome would that be?

Anyway, let me know what you guys and gals think of my plans. Also, let me know how you think the game will be setup when it comes to game saves, ranking saves, car collection saves, and overall statistic saves as well in the comment section.
